Sleeping

I don’t sleep well these days. Lots of reasons, mostly stress. Physical and mental. The trains every Tuesday morning at around 2 am don’t help.

I woke up this morning to the trains. Not comforting like one might think. Knowing that these trains bring fossil fuels. Knowing that industry and agency are intentionally not measuring emissions from the fossil fuel industries consuming and producing, neither in real time nor in accumulation.

Knowing that agency rests on the lack of a state mandate to measure effects of air pollution on the environment, stating that they only measure (term used very loosely) in regards to human health….

AS IF THOSE TWO ARE MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE!!!

They say this, bald faced, in a city STILL CLEANING UP ARSENIC LEFT IN THE SOIL, FROM A COMPANY WHO EMITTED MORE THAN 50 YEARS AGO!!!

We live among some very strange and disturbed people.

And I️ wonder how they sleep at night.
